Company Trip to Saputara: Sharing an Amazing Experience We Had

During work, many of us often go on a company trip once a year. This is where we came into the planning of where to go or which place is better to go on a company trip, as it was spring season with a lot of rain. So, deciding the place was the first step to make this journey safe, enjoyable, and people-friendly.

After gathering reviews with everyone, we decided to go to Saputara for a one-day trip, as all were not ready for a 2-days trip. That’s why we decided to go on a one-day trip to Saputara, a hill station located in the west Indian state of Gujarat.

Well, it was 31st July we planned to go on a trip on the occasion of the Company’s 4th anniversary. Though the company’s anniversary was on 1st August, but we planned to go one day before as it was Sunday on 1st August, the company’s 4th anniversary day.

As per our plan, everyone has to gather at 4:00 AM early in the morning so we could reach the destination on time and enjoy the morning weather at Saputara.

Aha, well almost all came on time and we departed soon after that. So, let’s dive into what we did during the journey and the places we visited in Saputara, including the table point, sun point, games we played, and activities we participated in while roaming on the ground in the rain.

Let's take a look at everything we did and places we saw during our Saputara trip, one by one:

Dumb Charade’s

This was the first game we played during our trip in the bus at the time of our departure from Surat to Saputara. In this game, a player has to act the word of a given movie name, and participants have to guess it.

There is no single talk allowed during this game, so the player must act out each name with gestures, facial expressions, and body language. And it was me the game started from as I was the first one playing this game for the very first time.

So, I really had no idea how to start it even though I explained everything. The starting was so funny and to be honest, it went successfully for me to express my given movie name with my funny acting and participants were able to guess it easily. This game continued for around 2 hours and until everyone had their chance to play.

Circle Dodgeball

In Circle Dodgeball, players stand on the outside edges of a circle and attempt to hit other players on the inside edges of the circle with the ball. It is only possible for the outside players to hit the inside players from the waist down. When regaining or throwing the ball, the outside players must keep their Xs.

That’s where we- our team came into play this game, making 3 people stand inside of the edges and the rest outside edges of the circle. Playing Circle Dodgeball with the team was too funny and amazing to share in words. As it was raining heavily and few of us were often throwing the ball like they are not hitting the players but trying to take their revenge by throwing it so fast. And, I was one of them, lol :)

Cricket

Well, who doesn’t love playing cricket? Yes, everyone loves it. And it was the same for us too, as we couldn’t stop ourselves and soon we built two teams and started playing the match.

It was not something to play a real game, but for marking something different and enjoying the moment with the team. We gave a chance to everyone to have an experience with batting and balling even those who hadn’t had it before.

Kho-Kho

I just cannot stop telling you about how we played KHO-KHO while it was raining on the ground. The rain couldn’t stop us from playing this game, as we were so excited to play with a lot of fun and full of passion.

Though a few of us were trying to hide, but I encouraged them to come on the ground and enjoy nature, as it was our main objective, to enjoy nature and its beauty.

Our enthusiasm and passion were on the main display as people outside of our company enjoyed watching us play Kho-kho during heavy rain. We played Kho-kho for about one and a half hours and must say we never enjoyed it like this before.

Botanical Garden

As per the plan, this was the place we couldn't miss out even for a moment. Therefore, we decided to stop the bus and visit the Botanical Garden and enjoy its display of beautiful plants labeled with their scientific names, and where they were kept, cultivated, and preserved.

We toured the garden with all of the members of our team and saw many new plants and different trees for the first time, and every member of our team had their own concerns about them. We took many pictures with every one of our team members. After visiting the garden thoroughly, we had Poha Bataka, Tea, and Coffee in breakfast.

Table Point

Table point is the highest point of this most popular hill station named Saputara. There were a lot of things to do at Table Point, as you can go for horse riding, camel riding, playing kid's games, eating, paragliding, and more. Besides this, a ropeway starts near this point, which was one of the highest attractive points on the hillock at Saputara.

We were with the team and everyone was thrilled with the fast and steady flow of cool wind with heavy rain and thick fog in the atmosphere. Many of us were shivering from the cold and while others were really enjoying nature. We moved towards the hill and started climbing on the mountain. During our climbing, we took many pictures and a few of them are below.

Taking away!

Apart from Table/Sun point and Fish House, we visited many other places too and enjoyed ourselves a lot with the entire team. The trip was so funny, thrilling, and exciting that all of us would love to go and visit such places again.
